Determined to turn his life around, John began cycling forty kilometres to attend an addiction day programme at The Salvation Army. He was also given access to long-term wraparound support, including counselling, budgeting advice and much-needed food assistance. |
Thanks to the generous donations of supporters like you, The Salvation Army was there to give John a hand up when he needed it most.
Like many Kiwis doing it tough, John was spending 60 percent of his income on rent. Vital food support from The Salvation Army helped to ease the pressure on his dire financial situation. It enabled him to focus on rebuilding his life with his wife and children with whom he had recently been reunited.
Around 88,808 food parcels were distributed during 2024. – SOTN25.
